Wastewater Update: Thursday, March 22.

The temporary bypass at the Lift Station on Blenkhorn will be in place longer than first anticipated. Best estimate is until late next week. The Village Maintenance staff is diligently monitoring the lift station throughout the night and is very thankful to the Community for their continued efforts in reducing their wastewater usage. The Village sincerely thanks the residents for their continued support and efforts in reducing the amount of wastewater flowing into the Lift Station. Kindly avoid this area during your commute as the temporary bypass is blocking parts of the roadway.

The wastewater upgrades are continuing now until the evening of Thursday, March 22. Residents are asked to reduce their wastewater usage as much as possible. The main lift station internal structure is being dismantled and replaced. Any way and any amount of wastewater we can reduce flowing into the sewer system, will help in preventing possible sewer malfunctions. PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH disposable diapers, grease, cleaning wipes, Swiffer pads, feminine hygiene products, mop heads, rags, or prophylactics. THANK YOU for your patience and understanding, during this disruption of service. PLEASE SHARE with neighbours and relatives who may not be on social media. A telephone message will be sent out as well. Kindly remember to update your contact information with the Village to ensure you are on the phone list. Email option is also available, let the Office know if you would like to be contacted via Email.

Kindly remember to avoid this area on Blenkhorn during your commute.

Again, Thank you from the Village of Vibank.
