The Taxes for 2021 have been levied and will be in the mail between June 4 and June 7.
The Village Council did not change the mill rate or the base tax for 2021, it remains the same as 2020. Residents may see a slight increase or decrease to their overall tax bill, this is due to a few factors that are not due to the Village Council.
- The Assessment for your property may have increased or decreased as per reassessment notice sent in March.
- The Province increased the Education Property Tax rate to both Commercial and Residential properties.
The 2021 Budget was passed at the May 25, 2021 Regular Meeting of Council. The 2021 Assessment Roll closed on May 25, the Village had zero appeals.
Early payment discount of 5% applies until August 31, 2021. Taxes are due on December 31, 2021. Please remember payment must be receipted/received prior to the end of the year to avoid late penalties.
